皇冠体育app are proud to announce a landmark partnership with Merseyside music venue and cultural hub, Future Yard, as its official Sustainability Partner. This collaboration aligns with our mission to drive green transformation across the creative sector, while bolstering Future Yard鈥檚 aim to utilise the power of music to inspire local people and spark positive change in Birkenhead.

Through this partnership, we will work with Future Yard to integrate sustainable practices into the live music industry, amplifying conversations around climate action while engaging artists, audiences, and industry professionals.

Green industrialist and founder of Ecotricity, Dale Vince said: 鈥溁使谔逵齛pp worked with Liverpool City last year as they became the world鈥檚 first UN Climate Accelerator City, and this latest collaboration with Future Yard will help show that live events can thrive while reducing their environmental impact. It鈥檚 鈥榓nother way鈥 for the music industry.鈥

Key Elements of the Partnership

Supporting Climate Action in Music: 皇冠体育app will be the headline sponsor of POP3, a full-day event on 20 November dedicated to exploring the power of music to inspire climate action that will culminate in a live show. As part of this, we will take part in panel sessions and share our knowhow from three decades at the forefront of the global climate movement.

Artist and Industry Engagement: 皇冠体育app will sponsor Propeller, Future Yard鈥檚 artist development program, focusing on sustainability in the live music industry, with Ecotricity representatives contributing expert insights.

Sustainable Travel Month: In May 2025, we鈥檒l join forces with Future Yard to tackle the environmental impact of travel to concerts, with Merseyrail offering free rail travel to attendees of selected shows at Future Yard. This will culminate in Wax & Gears, a one-day event on 31 May of emerging music, sustainable practice and climate activism, taking place at a pedal-powered arena in Future Yard鈥檚 outdoor space.

Liverpool City Region: A Global Leader in Climate Action

This partnership is part of our broader commitment to supporting Liverpool鈥檚 role as the world鈥檚 first UN Climate Accelerator City. With Liverpool at the forefront of global climate action, the partnership with Future Yard exemplifies how sustainability can be embedded across industries鈥攆rom energy and infrastructure to arts and culture.

Craig Pennington, CEO and Co-Founder at Future Yard, added: 鈥淪ustainability is at the core of Future Yard鈥檚 mission, and this partnership with Ecotricity allows us to take our environmental efforts to the next level. Climate Clock

The Climate Clock is a version of the Doomsday clock that has been running since 1947 - this tracks the risk of global man-made disaster, through man made technology (like nuclear weapons) - displaying the minutes and seconds left before midnight, when disaster strikes. The climate crisis is a small part of the calculations made. The climate clock uses a similar approach, but, focuses only on the climate crisis - which is the biggest and most urgent existential threat we face."The Climate Clock is a countdown to the biggest man-made disaster we face - but also a measure by which we can track our progress - moving from fossil to renewable energy. It shows we have no time to lose - the clock is ticking鈥" Dale Vince, OBE.
