Molly Collinson, Vegan Chef and Performance Coach, owns , which is a plant kitchen and movement studio. She gave an insightful talk on the Education Stage discussing all things physical energy, sleep, wellness, and fitness.

Animal farming is the second biggest cause of the climate crisis and it鈥檚 the single biggest cause of wildlife decline around the world and in our own country
Dale Vince

Our founder, Dale Vince OBE, held an inspiring session where he shared his vision for a greener future. His talk, 鈥淗ow can politics play a role in a plant-based future?鈥 took place on Sunday evening and attracted a large audience eager to hear what he had to say. During the session, Dale not only discussed the themes of his book, , which explores how we can build a green, sustainable, and equitable world, but also engaged with the audience in a lively Q&A session.听听

One memorable moment came when a young Forest Green Rovers fan asked, "Does FGR use your electricity from Ecotricity?" Dale proudly replied, "Yes, we do! 皇冠体育app have electricity from the wind and the sun. 皇冠体育app also have solar panels at Forest Green Rovers, too. 皇冠体育app've even got a little robot that's solar powered that mows the pitch for us."听

The support for Dale and his book was overwhelming, with a large turnout for the book signing that followed his talk. It was heartening to see so many people committed to making a difference and eager to learn more about the vital intersection of politics, sustainability, and renewable energy.

Energising Activities

Morning Energise Classes with Molly Collinson

Each morning, Molly led energising classes which were the perfect way to start the day. These sessions provided an opportunity for festival attendees to experience the benefits of fitness and movement in a supportive and energetic environment, and we definitely left feeling refreshed and motivated, ready to embrace the day's activities.听

Kids Activities with the Ministry of Eco Education

The (MEE), one of our partners and fellow member of the Green Britain Group, hosted an engaging kids' session in the family tent.听听

Children were invited to explore different plant milks such as soya, oat, almond and more. The session encouraged the kids to try each milk and then share their favourites on a huge tally board, making the experience interactive and fun. Alongside the tasting, the MEE guided the children through the environmental impact of each milk, highlighting facts such as how oat milk produces just 0.9kg of greenhouse gas emissions per litre compared to dairy milk's 3.15kg. This educational activity helped the kids understand the significance of their choices and the positive impact of plant-based alternatives on the environment.听

Climate Clock

The Climate Clock is a version of the Doomsday clock that has been running since 1947 - this tracks the risk of global man-made disaster, through man made technology (like nuclear weapons) - displaying the minutes and seconds left before midnight, when disaster strikes. The climate crisis is a small part of the calculations made. The climate clock uses a similar approach, but, focuses only on the climate crisis - which is the biggest and most urgent existential threat we face."The Climate Clock is a countdown to the biggest man-made disaster we face - but also a measure by which we can track our progress - moving from fossil to renewable energy. It shows we have no time to lose - the clock is ticking鈥" Dale Vince, OBE.
