Here at Ecotricity, we love working with businesses who share the same values and ethos as us. Today, we’re thrilled to announce our new partnership with Made In Hackney the plant-based, community cookery school.
Made In Hackney work with communities to help them stay healthy and happy by teaching them about planet-friendly food. It’s simple - they believe in healthy and affordable food that’s good for us and the world we live in.
When they opened in 2012, they were the UK’s first fully vegan community cookery school and charity. Since then, they have inspired many people to grow, cook and eat more plants. Like us, they know how a plant-based diet can combat climate change and they educate people about this. Our society can respond to the climate crisis by transitioning to a plant-centred diet.
They offer many different services to communities such as their community meal service, cooking classes and courses, team building events and their Plant Prospects programme. This programme offers support to organisations and businesses to help educate them on plant-based diets. »Ê¹ÚÌåÓýapp’re inspired by how they educate others about delicious plant-based food which is good for the planet, and we can’t wait to see how we can work together to create change.
Community Partnerships Manager, Sean O’Callaghan, said:

At Made In Hackney, we've always been passionate about creating a positive impact for people, animals, and the planet. Together, we're gearing up to do some incredible things, and we couldn't be happier to team up with a company that shares our values. Let's make the world a better place, one sustainable choice at a time!â€
