This November, we’re supporting our partners, Forestry England, with their campaign “Buy tees, plant trees!�.
ʹapp’ve now all grown accustomed to Black Friday. It’s a time of year which unfortunately is often about profit and not our planet. ʹapp all love a good deal, but wouldn’t it be better if we could enjoy a bargain and also have a positive impact on our planet?!
That’s what Forestry England are doing with their Green Friday campaign! All of the profits from their online store from Green Friday (24 November) up until Christmas will be used to plant trees in the New Forest, and our support will allow them to plant an extra 200 trees.
Plans are to plant lots of different native species of tree in the New Forest including oak, hornbeam, cherry and field maple which will be a valuable timber resource for future generations. Adding these trees to the New Forest will also help provide a home for wildlife whilst the trees grow and mature.
Forestry England are focusing on restoring much of the lost native woodland in the New Forest. Some of the oldest trees in the country reside in the New Forest, and some are thought to be over 1,000 a thousand years old. They’re gradually removing conifer trees, creating more broadleaf woods and encouraging natural regeneration of native tree species.
They have also carefully selected the right tree species for different soil types and ground conditions � which helps them create the right habitats for local wildlife. Not only are they doing this, but they’re also looking at how trees respond to threats like climate change.

Working with Forestry England, we know the vital role that trees play in creating a greener future. ʹapp’re thrilled to support them with this campaign and can’t wait to see the progress that they’re making in the New Forest.
