Being vegan isn鈥檛 just about eating animal free foods 鈥 it鈥檚 a lifestyle. It鈥檚 important to think about what you鈥檙e buying, and where it comes from in every part of your life.

That could range from buying ethically made clothing, to cleaning products and cruelty-free cosmetics.

As part of World Vegan Month, Beth from our Social Media Team gives us a roundup of her top three vegan hand creams to help you keep your mitts moisturised as we enter winter.

    Lush 鈥 Charity Pot
    RRP 拢3.75 for 45g

Charity Pot is a great all round body moisturiser. With a glossy, thick constancy 鈥 a little goes a long way with this stuff! Packed with six different oils including rosewood and jojoba, it leaves your skin feeling soft and hydrated for hours! It can make your hands feel a bit greasy, but it鈥檚 ideal for applying just before bed so you can wake up with beautifully hydrated hands. The best bit about Charity Pot 鈥 Lush donates 100% of the price to small, grassroots organisations. Awesome.

    Human+Kind Hand 3 in 1
    RRP 拢3.48 for 50ml

This hand cream smells AMAZING. The fresh, spa-like aroma mixed with the soft and silky feeling of this moisturiser gives you the perfect excuse to take five and pamper your hands. It soaks in really quickly and leaves hands feeling and looking visibly smoother. Also, great on elbows and other dry patches too - an absolute hit in our office.

    Soap & Glory Hand Food
    RRP 拢2.50 for 50ml

Soap & Glory are a high-street brand with a huge number of vegan products. Their hand cream is a staple in my stocking every Christmas. Similarly to the Human+Kind cream, this gem smells delicious. The packaging is bright and eye catching and looks great on your desk or by your sink at home. I wouldn鈥檛 use this one on skin that鈥檚 very dry and chapped as it could sting a little, but if you鈥檙e after a great hand cream with a sweet and juicy smell to lift your spirits then this is one for you.

    Climate Clock

The Climate Clock is a version of the Doomsday clock that has been running since 1947 - this tracks the risk of global man-made disaster, through man made technology (like nuclear weapons) - displaying the minutes and seconds left before midnight, when disaster strikes. The climate crisis is a small part of the calculations made. The climate clock uses a similar approach, but, focuses only on the climate crisis - which is the biggest and most urgent existential threat we face."The Climate Clock is a countdown to the biggest man-made disaster we face - but also a measure by which we can track our progress - moving from fossil to renewable energy. It shows we have no time to lose - the clock is ticking鈥" Dale Vince, OBE.
