An Affair to Remember - The Wedding of Dana & John - January 6th 2007
This bride had a vision of white for her Winter Wedding. Although there was no snow for this particularly warm January, the ballroom at the Nassau Inn in Princeton New Jersey sparkled from every angle! The day dawned bright and clear as the Bride and her eight ladies prepared for the big day. The Ceremony took place in the breathtaking Princeton University Chapel. Highlights from the ceremony included a trumpet for the processional and an astounding rendition of Ave Maria. Following the ceremony the wedding party took full advantage of the picturesque University campus before heading back to the Reception. Guest were greeted into cocktail hour by a unique place card table which featured a white tree shimmering with gold accents adorned with tiny buds of Dendrobium Orchids! Surrounding the tree were the guest seating arrangements set on gold paper and lit with candlelight! As guests entered the Ballroom following cocktail hour they were greeted with a truly romantic candlelit room. The tables were adorned with Ivory Satin linens and Antique White Princess Silk Beaded Overlays. Atop the decedent linens lay gold beaded glass chargers and ivory silk napkins fastened with gold beaded rope. The Guest sat on white Chiavari Chairs with ivory silk cushions and gazed at the tall centerpieces of winter white branches and Dendrobium Orchids lit with pin spot lighting. The custom designed stationary featured a simple and elegant design in shades of Champagne! The menu and donation cards were tucked neatly into an ivory pocket and accented with gold leaf leaves. The Table numbers also matched the design and sat in antique gold frames. As the Bride and Groom entered the room and headed to the floor for their first dance as husband and wife, behind them came the Princeton University Tigertones who serenaded the couple with “The Luckiest” by Ben Folds. Candlelight gently reflected off the hundreds of capiz shell lining the dance floor ceiling as their monogram shone subtly in the background. The romantic evening ended with decadent white candy bar featuring the couple’s names on white M&M’s. This was truly an affair to remember!

What the bride had to say
Hi Kristin, We're getting calls and notes (daily!) from family and friends who were truly blown away by our "extraordinarily beautiful" and "perfectly managed" wedding day - those are direct quotes! We actually had one guest send US a thank-you note! It's hard to believe that just ten months ago, we sat down with Dana's very vague notion of a "white wedding" with "fun elegance" at the Nassau Inn ...and you just immediately understood, and then orchestrated something so magnificent ... the overall design, the chairs and centerpieces, the orchids and the pinspotted lighting, the linens and the chargers, the programs and the gold-leaf menus, the monogram and the chair covers, the heartstoppingly gorgeous card table that transformed into a dramatically sweet dessert table ... the mother-of-pearl capiz shells dancing with light ... the way you worked with the Nassau Inn to get the patio opened for cocktail hour when that January day dawned a shockingly sunny 70 degrees ... we could go on and on ...

And you did it all while we worked 12-hour-days and focused on building a new life together ... as bringing this vision to life was something we couldn't have done ourselves. We had neither the contacts and connections, nor the time, nor the patience. We wanted a pro, and we found one. You had it all and you made it perfect ... "details of I do" and you had them DONE!!! And through it all you remained so much fun and so professional - we looked forward to every meeting.

Dana's mother's new wedding motto is "Never have a wedding without a Kristin ..." She watched in awe as the day unfolded so brilliantly. If anything went wrong that day, we didn't know about it. Even a month later, I haven't heard about anything!

We thank you, deeply, for making the cliché of "your wedding day is the best day of your life" come amazingly true - and we will wholeheartedly recommend you to other Princetonians who come back to Old Nassau to marry ...

Xoxo - Dana & John
