Romantically Re-Purposed

Every couple wants a wedding day that is picture perfect and undeniably them. Vintage props and decor have become a tried and true way for modern couples to express their personal style and add a touch of whimsy to their big day. Vintage pieces add an element of surprise to the wedding decor and a home spun feel. You can create custom vignettes that will be show stopping focal points with signature furniture pieces and unexpected style.  Finding the perfect bureau, desk or settee is easier then ever with vintage shops and rental companies popping up everywhere. The tricky part is figuring out how to style your pieces, give them functionality and get the most bang for your buck. Check out my tips and re-purposing inspo in this pretty in pink shoot filled with ways, to re-purpose, re-style and re-use your pretty pieces on wedding day!

Pretty In Pink

It all starts with picking the perfect palette! This look features an ombre color story ranging from whites to dark pink. Lots of lush greens  soften the bold colors and give it an organic look and feel. I love the look of bold colors popping against stark whites. It gives a modern luxe feel while maintaing that soft romantic feel we all love.

Aisle Style

A Vintage Screen covered with climbing vines and floral accents makes a perfect back drop for your walk down the aisle. After the I do’s this sweet prop doubles as a selfie backdrop at you reception.

Sweet Details

Vintage props and decor come in all shapes and sizes! Old school settees are perfect for bridal portraits. Retro travel cases make for a great card drop or guest notes display. Vintage style bottles add a touch of whimsy and a classic silver serving tray is great for snapping stylish pics of your invite, shoes and jewelry.

Perfectly Placed

This place card display is one of a kind! A vintage metal apothecary unit with the drawers pulled out was the perfect place for our vintage bottles of blooms with seating tags. Even better, this pretty package doubles as a favor. Who doesn’t want to take a flower home? Snuggled up next to the place card display is an old wooden ladder covered in flowering branches with an old school mailbox attached for guests to drop their cards. This vignette is 3 in one and packs a powerful visual punch.

A Sweet Welcome

A signature drink display on a re-purposed vintage prop is the perfect way to wow your guests upon arrival. This rehabbed vanity is a great prop for a punch station. When cocktail hour is over this sweet display can be wheeled into the reception and re-styled as a the cake table.

At the reception, the new Mr. & Mrs. are on full display, which is why the sweetheart table has to be picture perfect. This found table was given new life with a coat of chalk paint and looks oh so perfect front and center.

To Die For Table-Scape

Say hello to this dreamy white and sparkly table-scape! With lush hanging floral branches and white sequin linens, it’s glamorously luxurious with a touch of whimsy. The star of the show is the set of vintage mirrors that serve as a table runner that tie in perfectly with the mirrored menus. Pretty pink glasses, pearl encrusted napkin rings and elegant glass candelabras complete the package.
