Planning The Perfect Bridal Prep

With so many details to plan for your big day, little thought goes into planning your bridal prep. What most brides don’t realize is that they will spend the first half of the day in a room getting ready and taking lots of pictures. Having a relaxed atmosphere in a room that is large enough for all of your bridesmaids and family members to get ready in is a must. Choosing a venue or hotel with lots of room to spread out and upscale amenities is something you should definitely take into consideration. The Park Chateau Estate and Gardens does not disappoint! The Bridal Suite at Park Chateau boasts a salon like atmosphere with 2 large bathrooms, full size steamers and rolling racks for gowns. It also features a full living room, kitchenette and a dining table as well as a personal bridal attendant. Take a look at the beautiful bridal suite at The Park Chateau and our tips for planning a perfect bridal prep!

Getting Ready

Let’s talk about amenities! A hair sink and a full hair and makeup studio complete with comfy chairs and large mirrors, yes please! It’s every brides dream! And how cute is the custom bouquet towel! It’s perfect for drying your stems when you’re ready to take pictures! No one wants unsightly water marks in their wedding pics. Don’t forget to wear something that comes on and off without messing up your hair and makeup! We love these floral print satin robes!

The Bubbly

Set up a self serve bar so your girls can help themselves to a cocktail. While bubbly is the go to, it may not be the best choice. It’s known to go right to your head which may not be the best idea right before walking down the aisle. Opt instead for a light and fruity sangria.

Don’t Forget To Eat

Tea, coffee and tasty treats are always a good idea! Petite bite size desserts are perfect for popping in your mouth without messing up your made up face. Be sure to pack a snack sac for later if you are planning on having an extensive photo session before your walk down the aisle. Being dizzy or nauseous is the last thing you want to feel at the alter.

Sweet Details

Modern brides are opting to have bridal prep covered by their wedding photographer. Having a beautiful tray, some perfume bottles and ring boxes on hand come in handy for capturing detail shots. Ask your florist for loose blooms or an additional arrangement so your photographer can get creative. Be sure to have your wedding jewelry, shoes and invitations easily accessible as photographers typically shoot these items during bridal prep.

Bridal Portraits

Last but not least, your first bridal portraits will most likely be taken during bridal prep. Having a light filled space with a neutral background is ideal. The Bridal Prep Suite at Park Chateau has lots of windows, beautiful furnishings and a luxurious neutral palette. It’s the perfect space for capturing gorgeous images.
