Beauty & The Beast Wedding Inspiration

4 Designers Take on Beauty & The Beast and the results will knock your socks off! Inspired by the recent re-make of this Disney Classic starring Emma Stone, I got together with some very talented ladies and asked them to create a Beauty & The Beast inspired table-cape and bridal bouquet. Each team came up with their own interpretation of a B&B wedding and they were all stunningly styled and unexpectedly unique.

Kristin Rockhill of Details of I do ~ The Age of Elegance

While it was hard not to get drawn in by the traditional elements of the Disney Classic, I was inspired by the opening scenes of the newly released Beauty and the Beast Film. The stark white costumes and background accented by everything gold was so breathtaking and a complete departure from the original film. The opening act at the castle was oozing with opulence and I wanted to capture that in my design. Staying true to my personal style I opted for a rustic wooden farmhouse table laden with an ornate gold mirror, all white flowers and lots of cascading greenery. My table-scape featured whimsical details like stacked books, golden candelabras, white and gold guilded teacups and blue and white patterned china. All these little touches pay homage to the characters in the story of this tale as old as time. For Belle, I admired the strong will and romantic spirit that Emma Watson captured so perfectly. So my Belle Bride emulates that sweet yet sophisticated girl with a slightly sexy vibe. Enjoy! ~ Kristin

Jenny Orsini Events & A Touch of Elegance ~ Oppulent Beauty

Our Inspiration was the ending scene in the newest movie in the ballroom with all the garlands and chandeliers hanging from the ceiling.  We wanted to capture the “Beauty” in Beauty and the Beast.  We wanted an opulent & romantic feel with a touch of fairy tale whimsy.  Ornate crystal candelabras, full gold tassels, beautiful summer blooms such as garden roses, hydrangea and lush greenery were the centerpiece of our tablescape.  We gave a nod to Lumier and Cogsworth with our vintage props and decor.  We complimented everything with lush velvety pastel linens, rich and vibrant flatware, dishes and delicate stemware. Handmade multilayered diecut menu cards finished off this opulent tablescape. ~ Jenny

Angela D’Andrea & Kelly Hogan of Angela Nicole Designs

Finding the Beauty in the Beast. Angela Nicole Design opted for a dark and romantic vibe complete with moody hues of navy, black and rouge. This Dreamy tablescape captures the true spirit and heart of the Beast.  Angela gives a nod to the opulence and luxury of the castle by setting the stage in an ornate dining room alight with candles and luxurious decor. While the furnishings are masculine and dark, the vibrant florals and lush greens add romance and beauty.

Laura Cullen of Petunia Bergamot

Check out Petunia Bergamot’s Mid-Century Modern take on this timeless classic. The transition from darkness to light, despair to hope is executed powerfully in the film. Following the curse put on the prince, his castle becomes dark, decrepit and hollow. The gardens are neglected and overgrown, and it always seems to be night. Once the love affair sparks and begins to truly grow, we see light and color and beauty. This was the inspiration for this table-scape. Out of the tangled greens emerge bold, inviting colors and shapes, celebrating that growing love. While the film takes place in 1740’s France, we brought it to 1940s America. With beautiful gold pieces, sharp angular lines, and deep rich color, it honors this tale as old as time. ~ Laura
